Public Notice: Official City Service Updates, Infrastructure Maintenance, and Health Advisories

Public Health Advisory: Seasonal Illness and Communicable Disease Monitoring
The Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) continues to maintain an active advisory regarding the current flu season, which remains widespread and severe throughout the Atlanta metropolitan region. Health officials urge residents to practice consistent respiratory hygiene and consider vaccination, as case numbers have trended high throughout February. In addition to seasonal influenza monitoring, the state’s Health Alert Network remains under a standing notification for a confirmed case of measles identified in the region earlier this year. Residents are encouraged to verify their immunization status, as this highly contagious virus remains a priority for local healthcare monitoring. Public health departments advise that those experiencing symptoms should contact their healthcare provider immediately and avoid public gatherings.

Residents and local businesses should prepare for detours starting early next week.
