Milton Police Search for DJ Young Slade, Lil Jon’s Son, After Disappearance From Home Tuesday Morning

Missing-person case draws regional attention as police expand search in north Fulton County
Milton police are searching for Nathan Murray Smith, the 20-something Atlanta-area DJ and music producer known professionally as DJ Young Slade, after he was reported missing from his home early Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026. Smith is the son of Atlanta rapper and producer Lil Jon.
Police say Smith was last seen at about 6 a.m. Tuesday near his residence in the Baldwin Drive/Mayfield Road area of Milton, a city roughly 30 miles north of downtown Atlanta. Investigators state he left the home on foot and did not have a phone with him. Authorities have also indicated he may be disoriented and could be in need of assistance, prompting family and friends to report urgent concern for his safety.
What police have released publicly
In missing-person information circulated Tuesday afternoon and repeated in subsequent reports on Wednesday, Milton police described Smith as approximately 5-foot-9 and about 150 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. Some reports include a distinguishing tattoo described as lips on his right collarbone.
There has been an inconsistency across public postings and media reports regarding Smith’s age, with references ranging from 27 to 28. Police communications have not been uniformly reflected in secondary reports, and the department has not publicly clarified the discrepancy.
Search activity near Mayfield Road
On Tuesday afternoon, aerial footage from local television showed officers concentrating search efforts near Mayfield Road. Separate reporting also indicated police activity in the Mayfield Park area earlier in the day. Officials have emphasized there is no known threat to the public connected to the search.
Some reports noted officers were seen searching areas near a lake/pond close to Baldwin Drive. It was not immediately clear from publicly available information whether that activity was directly related to Smith’s disappearance.

Police are asking anyone who believes they have seen Smith, or who has information that could help establish his whereabouts, to contact the Milton Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch line at (678) 297-6300 (option 1).
