Official Notice: Solid Waste Schedule Adjustment

The City of Atlanta Department of Public Works has issued a proactive service adjustment for residents following the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. While residential collection was initially delayed by one day this week, anticipated inclement weather has prompted a change for those on the Friday schedule. Residents whose regular collection was moved to Saturday are now advised to place all recycling, garbage, and yard waste carts at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026. This adjustment aims to ensure service continuity before potential weather-related impacts affect road conditions.
