Atlanta police seek identification of suspect filmed removing multiple packages from Lenox Park apartment mailroom
Incident reported at 1050 Lenox Park Blvd. NW
Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect after surveillance video captured a man removing multiple packages from a secured package room at an apartment complex in the Lenox Park area.
The reported theft occurred on February 9, 2026, at an apartment property located at 1050 Lenox Park Blvd. NW. Investigators said the suspect entered the building’s package room and took several boxes.
Surveillance video shows multiple trips from the package room
Police said the video shows the suspect making at least three separate trips while carrying packages out of the room. The footage, released as part of an ongoing investigation, is being used to solicit identification and leads.
Authorities have not released an estimate of the total number of packages taken or the value of the stolen items. Police also have not indicated whether the suspect used a key, gained access by following a resident, or entered through another method. No arrest has been announced as of February 23, 2026.
Why package-room thefts are difficult to investigate
Package thefts at multifamily properties can be challenging to resolve because deliveries are concentrated in common areas, and multiple parties may handle parcels before residents retrieve them. In many buildings, access to mailrooms and package rooms is controlled by fobs, keypad entries, or visitor call systems, but residents and guests may still enter in close succession during busy hours.
Investigations often rely on surveillance video, door-access logs, and corroborating reports from residents and property management. When a suspect’s face, clothing, or distinguishing features are unclear, police typically seek additional video angles or tips that connect the person to an identity, vehicle, or repeat pattern.
Police described the case as an active investigation and asked anyone who recognizes the suspect to provide information.
How to provide information
Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect can submit tips through Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000 for an arrest and indictment, police said.
- Crime Stoppers phone: 404-577-8477
- Text option: text CSGA to 738477
- P3 Tips app submissions are also accepted
Residents who believe they were affected are typically encouraged to document missing deliveries, preserve order confirmations and delivery notifications, and report thefts to police so investigators can assess the scope of losses tied to the same incident.
