Investigators seek identification of hooded man captured on surveillance video

Atlanta police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect accused of targeting workers at two locations in northwest Atlanta during a brief span on January 5. Investigators say the incidents involved a construction worker who was robbed at gunpoint and a group of lawn care workers who were threatened during an attempted robbery.

Police said officers were called to an armed robbery report at 390 Andrew Hairston Place NW, where a man working on a construction project reported being confronted by a hooded male suspect armed with a gun. Investigators said the suspect demanded cash, the victim complied, and the suspect then left the area.

Authorities say the same suspect then went to 807 Proctor St. NW, where seven people performing lawn care work were threatened with a gun. Police said the suspect attempted to rob the group but did not obtain property. Investigators reported that no injuries were reported in either incident.
