Atlanta City Notices: BeltLine Progress Reports and Local Infrastructure Advisories

Public Service Announcement: BeltLine Southside Trail Construction Update
The City of Atlanta and Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. have issued an update regarding the progress of the Southside Trail segments. Recent inclement weather, including freezing temperatures and heavy rainfall throughout February 2026, has impacted the construction timeline for Segments 4 and 5. While these sections, stretching from Glenwood Avenue to Boulevard, were originally slated for a March opening, officials have announced a slight delay to ensure the integrity of the concrete foundations and final safety installations.
- Segments 4 & 5: Opening delayed into late spring due to weather-related concrete curing issues. Final railing and security lighting installation are currently underway at the United Avenue ramp.
- Segments 2 & 3: Concrete work remains on schedule to finish by April 2026. Landscaping and wall construction continue between Pittsburgh Yards and the Pryor Road bridge.
The city remains committed to having 17.9 miles of continuous paved trail accessible in time for the FIFA World Cup 26™ festivities this summer.
